Derby: QUAD arts centre in Derby described by the Guardian as “an arts centre to rival the best…” goes from strength to strength. It is assessed to have an annual £5.4m economic impact on Derby and attracted audiences of 275,000 in 2012. In March 2013 it launches the next FORMAT festival. Established in 2004 by Louise Clements and Mike Brown, the biennale festival celebrates the wealth of contemporary practice in international photography and is now one of the UK’s leading non-profit international contemporary festivals of photography and related media.
Gardner Arts Centre to re-open as the Attenborough
Centre for the Creative Arts We were delighted to hear that the University
of Sussex announced the renaming of the Gardner Arts Centre as the Attenborough
Centre for the Creative Arts in time for its re-opening as part of the University’s
50th anniversary year in 2011/12. This
innovative centre will fully reopen in 2014.
