David Powell
David brings experience as a cultural practitioner, researcher, catalyst and cultural leader. David set up DPA in 1991, building on earlier experience as one of the Directors of Inter-Action, the national arts, media and development organisation, and managing cultural infrastructure investment for London Docklands Development Corporation.

Since then, David has directed dozens of reviews, studies and projects, leading teams, investigating and influencing the local and regional cultural ecology and creative economy and helping deliver new and improved cultural buildings and organisations.

David is Chair of Film and Video Umbrella, and on the boards of the National Federation of Artists Studio Providerand ACAVA the artists’ studio development agency. He is Visiting Professor at London East Research Institute (LERI) at University of East London and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Peter Mount,

Peter leads on business planning and arts facilities development, bringing a wide knowledge of arts centre and artists production operating requirements. For six years he was the Development Director for QUAD, Derby, where he delivered the city's new iconic arts building from the back on an envelope to opening to the completion of the capital contracts. He has provided substantial and continuing support for Laura William’s Aluna project.
Other assignments for DPA include the development of Stratford Circus, a set of studies on street arts and dance workspaces, the Gardner Centre, University of Sussex, Hoxton Hall and on Derby’s arts capital strategy and the reviews of the Guildhall and Assembly Rooms.
Trained as an electrical engineer, he ran an extensive community arts and media studio and programme for Inter-Action, before becoming its General Manager.
